Sattvic Design: Environments in Harmony and Balance

 My practice is informed primarily by the principles Xuan Kong, a branch of Feng Shui, Western numerology. and Sacred Geometry to map out the energies present in your environment that can be enhanced or minimized to support specific goals and overall well being of all who inhabit the living space. 

Below is some general information about the four distinctive yet unifying theories that I incorporate to identify the specific energies present and how they can be enhanced, reduced or balanced to live your best life possible.  

There are essentially 5 distinctive yet unifying theories I use to assess specific energetic potentials present in the living environment. These theories are very complex and take years to master. Below is a rudimentary definition of each: 

1. The YIn-Yang Principle of Heaven and Earth- this essentially has to do with the flow of energy.
2. The Ba Gua or 8 Trigram Theory and Numerology- is the foundational theory of Feng Shui. It is a complex theory that explains  your energy and how it interacts with your environment. Western numerology is incorporated to provide a more in-depth understanding of the relationship between you and your environment.
3. Ba Zhai or East-West System- this system or theory explains how each individual can be potentially supported or challenged by the environment based on the chi and energy lines and how the building is situated within its environment. This will vary depending on the person’s personal trigram.
4. Xuan Kong- This system is where we get the deepest understanding about the environment. Through using a special compass called a Lo-pan, we gain a more detailed understanding of the energies within an environment. While the East-West system gives us general information on how each individual will be supported or challenged by the space overall, this gives more detailed information about the overall potential of a space and what kind of energy is in each quadrant. 
5. Wu Zing or 5 Elements Theory- by introducing one or more of the Five Elements- Earth, Wood, Fire, Metal or Water- into the environment, we will reduce, enhance and/or balance the energies to create the propitious and supportive environment you desire.
